Charlotte likes to get festive and a little bit spooky this time of year.

Halloween at The Amp offers a family-friendly experience with a children’s costume contest, an art scavenger hunt, hands-on activities, DJs and classic spooky shorts. Picnic blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Costumes are encouraged. Food truck options, beer and wine will be available on-site for purchase. Tickets are $10; kids ages 2 and under are free.

Scarrigan Farms, Haunted Trail

Carrigan Farms transforms into a scary haunted attraction. For teens and adults looking for a Halloween thrill, Scarrigan Farms has all the cannibal clowns, monsters, classic slashers, zombies, and more to keep you running and screaming. Expect music and concessions while you wait. The haunted trail costs $45 to $50 per person depending on which night. Reservations are required.

Loso Halloween Crawl
Oct. 28
Charlotte Craft Beer week and Halloween fun combine for some spooky fun. Check in at eight participating breweries, including Lower Left Brewing, Weathered Souls and The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery. Food trucks and prizes are part of the festivities. There’s also free Ride Jaunt transportation to and from each stop.
