The outdoor rinks are ready for you, adding an extra dose of wintertime fun over the holidays and beyond. We’ve shared a few indoor options, too, which you can enjoy all year.
OUTDOOR RINKS
Ice Skating at Whitewater Center
5000 Whitewater Center Parkway
You’ll find plenty of wintry fun and room to spin across four skating areas installed above the water channels for winter. Take a break and grab a hot chocolate or refreshments from the Airstream camper. A single activity pass is $25. While you’re there, consider other outdoor adventures on the trails, ziplines or ropes courses. Available through mid-February.
Ice Skating at Truist Field
324 S. Mint St.
This is one of the main attractions during Light the Knights in uptown. Besides the NHL-size ice skating rink, there’s snow tubing on a 150-foot hill on the baseball field. The stadium concourse is dressed up with holiday light displays and the uptown view is especially festive this time of year. An all-activities pass with ice skating and snow tubing is around $45; through Jan. 4.

Ice Skating at Camp North End
300 Camp Rd.
Ice skating is open daily through Jan. 5 (tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for children 5 and under). Grab a mug of cocoa (or a cocktail), cozy up by fire pits, and enjoy some live music after you skate; through Jan. 4.
Ice skating at the Bowl
through Jan. 4
Lace up your skates, grab a cup of cocoa and make memories. The Bowl introduces ice skating for the first time this year with a new rink at The Amp. Tickets are $20, children 5 and under $12.
Note: Winterfest at Carowinds will not have ice skating this year.
