Time to catch up: Here are a few new items on the shopping and dining scene in Charlotte this spring.

Tipsy Pickle opened at Camp North End. The 35,000-square-foot entertainment complex includes pickleball courts, golf simulators, arcade games, pool tables, pingpong and more, with indoor and outdoor bars and Tex-Mex fare.

Mint Museum Randolph reopened its expanded African art galleries after a multiyear renovation.

Caesars Virginia opened in Danville, Virginia. The casino and resort has a 320-room hotel, a spa, pool, and more than 90,000 square feet of gaming space.

Mediterranean-inspired Mazi restaurant opened in South End in March. The vibe is sophisticated with a menu of mezze and small plates, plus a focus on fine spirits. Mazi is the latest concept from Built on Hospitality, the team behind The Goodyear House, Chief’s Modern Cocktail Parlor and Folia.

Swiss watch brand Swatch will open at SouthPark Mall in Fountain Court. Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar just opened in the West Plaza in March.

Bootmaker Lucchese opened at 1711 Commonwealth Ave., Ste. 160, in Plaza Midwood.

Queen City Audio Video & Appliances rebranded as Queen City Homestore after acquiring seven Badcock Furniture locations across the Carolinas. 

The owners of House of Nomad announced they are closing the SouthPark retail shop so they can focus more on design, wallpaper and textiles that drive their business.
