Willy and Rachel met during undergrad at Appalachian State University and quickly realized their close friendship was developing into true love after he made visits to see her in Wilmington one summer. “We both have a different answer to which beach dinner was our first date, but either way, we have been together ever since,” Rachel says. Willy proposed on the beach on New Year’s Eve 2020, and wedding planning began shortly thereafter. Rachel says she planned the wedding date around the availability of Jennifer Austin Photography. “I could write a novel about how much I love Jenny,” she says. “She captured the raw emotions of our wedding that I will cherish forever.”
