ZARA plans to open in SouthPark Mall

It’s official, trendy international clothing retailer ZARA will join the SouthPark Mall lineup of stores in 2026, making it the first ZARA store in North Carolina.
ZARA has been talked about for years as one of the big retail chains Charlotte is missing. “Charlotteans have long awaited the arrival of ZARA, and the buzz surrounding its opening at SouthPark Mall is palpable,” said Holly Roberson Van Cleave, director of marketing and business development at SouthPark. Roberson Van Cleave added that bringing ZARA to SouthPark solidifies the mall’s status as a destination for fashion-forward shoppers.
ZARA will be located in the spots once held by J. Crew and The Gap, past the fountain leading to the Belk wing.
The Spanish retailer, which has 3,000 stores worldwide, is known for bringing on-trend fashions for women, men and children to market quickly at desirable price points. The closest ZARA store to Charlotte is in Atlanta. -SP
