This fall, Charlotte pups will have a new place to frolic and play when the Whitewater Center debuts a 70-acre off-leash dog park. The area will include the existing 3-mile Lake Loop trail, a beer garden, a lakefront beach and a retail outlet. Day passes for one dog will be $10; annual passholders ($250 for adults and children 8 and up) and day passholders can bring one dog at no additional cost. The dog park is expected to open Nov. 17.
